INSTRUCTIONS
FOR DR. JIM AYERS Young Investigators Award
Students
please submit papers by May 31. The first place winner will received $1000,
second place is $500 and third place is $250.
To be eligible for the Young Investigator Award the following criteria
must be met:
1.
The student must be currently enrolled or must have graduated no earlier
than December of the previous year.
2.
The student must be a member of GAFP.
3.
The student must submit an original and three copies of an extended
abstract.
4.
The extended abstract must include: objective, methodology, results, and
significant new findings, and implications of their research.
5.
Extended abstracts should be no more than 4 pages, double spaced, for the
written portion; figures and tables should be included in an appendix.
6.
Recipients must present paper at the IAFP Annual Meeting. Only papers
accepted for presentation at IAFP will be considered for the award.
7.
To apply for this award, extended abstracts must be mailed to the current
GAFP president.
8.
Applicants must include telephone, fax, e-mail, and social security
number.
9.
A panel will judge abstracts and recipients will be notified by June 10.
The awards will be presented at the Fall GAFP meeting.
